Millions of men and women have been successfully treated. Treatment is customized according to hair color, texture, and the area being targeted. Treatment for most hair colors typically yields high levels of success and patient satisfaction. Treatment is effective on all skin types, including dark-skinned individuals of all ethnic origins.
Side effects are rare. Sensitivity, irritation, and redness may occur at the treatment site but then quickly disappears. Susceptibility to these side effects will be identified during your consultation. To greatly minimize the risk of side effects, sun exposure must be limited prior to and immediately following treatment.
Shaving the day before or just prior to treatment is recommended and you may shave again twenty-four hours after treatment unless your provider tells you otherwise.
Typically, 6-8 treatments is adequate to provide permanent hair reduction. However, after a one-on-one consultation, a member of our staff may determine that based on the density of your hair, hair color and skin color, you may require additional treatment. We will advise you. It’s not unusual to require a touch-up treatment two years after completing laser hair removal treatments.
